About Gainesville Mold Remediation Referrals
Mold problems tend to show up at bad times: after a storm, a slow leak behind a wall, or just before a house sale. Most people do not know who to call, and searching online leads to a long list of companies with no easy way to tell them apart on price, licensing or how fast they can actually come out.
We are a small local referral service covering Gainesville and the rest of Alachua County. You tell us what is happening, and we share your request with independent companies in the area that state they employ licensed mold professionals. They contact you directly with their own recommendations and pricing, so you can compare before deciding anything.
Why use a referral service instead of calling around yourself
Calling several companies one by one means repeating the same details, waiting on hold, and trying to judge licensing and pricing with no way to compare them side by side. Submitting one request through this site does that legwork once, and lets more than one company reach out if more than one is available in your area, rather than gambling on whichever ad you clicked first.
What happens after you submit a request
- You describe the problem. Where you're seeing mold, whether there was a recent leak or flood, and your ZIP code, either through the contact form or by phone.
- We pass it along. An independent local company that states it employs licensed Florida mold professionals gets your request.
- They contact you directly. Expect a call or text to schedule a look at the property and give you a price. If more than one company serves your area, more than one may reach out.
- You decide. Compare what each one tells you. There is no obligation to hire anyone, and no cost to you for submitting the request.
Questions worth asking before you hire anyone
- Are you a licensed Florida mold assessor or mold remediator? Ask for the license number and check it yourself at MyFloridaLicense.com before work starts.
- Is the person quoting the removal the same one who did the assessment? Florida law does not allow the same company to do both an assessment and remediation on the same property within 12 months, so an independent assessor is normal and expected. See our full guide to Florida's mold laws for more detail.
- Is the estimate in writing, and does it explain the scope of work? A written scope protects both sides if there is a disagreement later.
- Will they address the moisture source, not just the visible mold? Removing mold without fixing the leak or humidity problem behind it usually means it comes back.
What we do and do not do
- We do collect your request and pass it to independent local companies.
- We do not perform mold assessment or remediation, and we do not hold a Florida mold license.
- We do not set the price of any work. That comes from the company that contacts you.
- You are never required to hire anyone we refer you to.
